HydrauliCAD, Epanet in Autocad hydraulic analysis design program

Hydraulic zones and groups as autocad properties or attributes for water system analysis Fire flow zones or groups for fireflow scenarios in water network watermodeling simulation

Section: "AutoCAD Options Settings for Hydraulic Groups & Zones"

Creating / Editing Groups & Zones in AutoCAD Options

This Area of HydrauliCAD - AutoCAD OPTIONS is where Groups and Zones are Created, Modified and Stored.

Editing Hydraulic Groups "en masse"
in AutoCAD Properties Palette

Changing Fire Flow Zones for 1,322 Selected Pipes
(see side menu for other palette objects and multiple editing)

Because all HydrauliCAD Objects are true and registered AutoCAD Objects, ALL HydrauliCAD Pipes are treated as just another AutoCAD Object.

All properties, standard AutoCAD or Hydraulic Items, are addressed from the familiar AutoCAD Palette.
Multiple pipes selected or pipes matching the Quick Select Criteria can be altered "en masse" using this same HydrauliCAD - AutoCAD Palette.

1. Palette Heading: 1,322 Pipes were selected by a Quick Select of all pipes in the Pipe Group "MAINS B".
2. General: The Basic AutoCAD Properties:

3. HydrauliCAD Object Geometry
(Coordinates, Pipe Lengths, etc.)

4. Hydraulic Object PARAMETER Inputs
View, Enter or Modify PIPE PARAMETERS (Zones, Groups, Specifications, Tags, Descriptions etc.) here.
Changed Hydraulic Group for all 1,322 pipes from Fire Flow Zone 1 >> Fire Flow Zone 2.

5. Hydraulic Object SETTING Inputs
View, Enter or Modify PIPE SETTINGS
(PipeSize, Roughness, Minor Loss, Status) here

6. Calculated Hydraulic Object RESULTS
View All Hydraulic PIPE RESULTS from this lower section of this same AutoCAD Properties Palette.
(Results = "Varies" as they are different for each pipe)

7. Quality PARAMETER Inputs
View, Enter or Modify QUALITY PARAMETERS here.

Units for this Drawing are in US Standard. All Metric Units are available also.

In fact, you can "Mix & Match" any units you wish - i.e.: Flow in "lps", Lengths in "ft", Elevations in "meters", Pipe Sizes in "inches" etc., etc.

This allows designer to work in the "units of choice", then instantly convert properties back to those units desired by their client.

All of of your personal Hydraulic Settings (the very heart of your work) can be smoothly Drag & Dropped into any drawing from our own HydrauliCAD-AutoCAD DESIGN CENTER.
