| Using The Custom AutoCAD Quick Select Tool | |
|
The AutoCAD Quick Select tool has been modified to accommodate some of the Properties of our Hydraulic Objects. It can be used alone for many Queries, and is especially effective when combined in sequential Queries along with HydrauliCAD's own Quick Select. |
|
|
Objects to Query on have been selected in the drawing. Current drawing has 86 Total Hydraulic Objects Selected. Breakdown of Object Types is visible in the Combo Box at the top of the Properties Palette. |

The second from top ComboBox breaks down the Hydraulic Objects by Object Types. Choose all (multiple) or select any single Object Type, in this case all "Pipes" in the selection. |

"Select All" will isolate pipes for the Query, and allow you to perform en masse edits to all pipes in the selection. |

Instead
of Selecting All to select all pipes, we can Select a Hydraulic Property
to Query on, in this case PipeSize.

"Equal" would select only those 6" Pipes in our initial selection, or "Not Equal" will select all pipes NOT 6". |

After
selection, the Property Palette shows there are 20 pipes in the initial
selection and allows us to Edit them en masse.

NOTE 1: Following Query, you can edit any Property of your result en masse in the Properties Palette. NOTE 2: You can also Save the resulting Selection Set for future recall (see Save Sets in this Section of the User guide or use the links below). NOTE 3: You can also Cycle through the result by Individual Pipe using our "Cycle through selection" method. (See Cycle through Sets in this Section of the User guide or use the links below). |
